Are Coworking Spaces the Gateway Drug to the Sharing Economy?

Cowork-camp-france-480x321Shareable's Beth Buczynski recently wrote an article about how a coworking space can turn into a sharing hub by incorporating the following types of sharing:

1. Bike/ride/car sharing

2. Cohousing

3. Food/Gardening

4. Swaps/Lending Libraries

5. Skillsharing

And that's one of the reasons we think marketplaces are more than a "trend" because you don't just want to participate, in some ways you have to. We all need community.

So, unlike Buczynski, we don't mind if people say coworking is the "low hanging fruit" for other sharing behavior because it probably is.

Let it be the gateway drug.
