Research Results: Tutorials Reorganization

Thank you very much for participating in our card sorting exercise. We have analyzed the results, and based on the suggestions of 7 participants we can conclude that seven categories can cover our 27 topics: Data management, Models, Templates, Modules and Module examples, Partner Portal, Third Party systems, Best practices. We used the similarity matrix and the category namings to identify which topics are connected and what names you suggested for them. Please, check out our detailed analysis here.

This research has helped us see how you’d reorganize our Tutorials. Using your ideas for the new structure, we will plan the reorganization. We will also extend our current topic-based approach: we will expand more on concepts, and write detailed articles that explain them, thus helping you understand the what and why behind the how.

Our current topic-based approach helped us create content quickly and consistently, made it easy to involve different authors (devs and contributors), allows us to quickly produce docs once a new feature is deployed and makes it easier and quicker to update topics.

The new approach will help us extend our documentation with easier to read content from a more comprehensive, beginning-to-end conceptual point of view.
