Last week, we gathered our team together at Makeshift Society to hold a regularly scheduled team meeting. We were super pumped to be visited by a local San Francisco Chronicle photographer who took pictures of us for an article "Near Me offers platform for sharing-economy marketplaces" by Carolyn Said in the SF Chronicle. As a company, we're excited to be featured on both the print and online versions of the newspaper for many reasons. Here's why:

(Near Me CEO Michelle Regner)
First, we want the world to know we're here. Peer-to-peer marketplaces are leading the business sections of press pages all over the world, specifically companies like Airbnb, Uber or the latest creative marketplace. While their successes and the marketplace questions that arise from such press is valuable for the peer-to-peer conversation, we want to showcase a different side to it. We want people to know that anyone can build a peer-to-peer branded marketplace using our platform--and be a part of the revolution of commerce.
Second, the peer-to-peer marketplace craze is leading entrepreneurs and brands to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and time to create a marketplace on their own. With Near Me, the cost and time to build a quality, complete marketplace is drastically reduced to make it easier for anyone, including non-developers to get their idea off the ground.
Third, we know that peer-to-peer marketplaces are here to stay. Commerce has changed and we want to walk this journey with our clients and empower them to build their dream marketplace with our complete solution. Entrepreneurs, big brands and small businesses all over the world should take a look at what they can do to join this new wave of peer business.
Near Me is a peer-to-peer commerce solution that is here to speed up that transition and continue to build trustworthy marketplaces all over the world. Read more about us in the San Francisco Chronicle and visit Near-Me.com for more info.
